Nils Wimmersberger

Nils Wimmersberger has been working in Zürcher Kantonalbank's Asset Management since August 2022 as Team Leader Equities Switzerland and Real Estate Switzerland Indirect and as Deputy Manager for Small & Mid Caps strategies. Since January 2024, he has had full responsibility for the small & mid caps strategies. In total, he has around 20 years of investment experience, particularly in the area of Swiss small caps. As an analyst within the team, he focuses on companies from the consumer goods, financials, industrials and utilities sectors.

Before joining Zürcher Kantonalbank, he was a portfolio manager at Vontobel Asset Management between 2003 and 2021, where he was responsible for managing various Swiss equity funds totalling CHF 1.5 billion with a focus on mid & small caps and dividend strategies. The mid & small cap fund he managed in partnership with Ethos and in accordance with sustainability criteria was recognised as the best equity fund in the Swiss equities category at the Geneva Forum for Sustainable Investement (GFSI) Swiss Sustainable Awards in 2019. From 2021 to August 2022, Nils Wimmersberger worked as Team Head Equities Switzerland at Credit Suisse Asset Management, where he had overall responsibility for a broad range of actively managed equity strategies including long/short portfolios with an investment volume of CHF 4 billion. In 2003, he successfully completed his studies in economics with a specialisation in finance at the University of Zurich (lic. oec. publ.) and completed his training as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 2008.
