Zurich, 2 May 2022 – The Asset Management team at Zürcher Kantonalbank has announced the appointment of 45-year-old Nils Wimmersberger as the new Head of Equities Switzerland. Wimmersberger will take up his new role in August 2022 and report directly to Dr René Nicolodi, Head of Equities & Deputy Head of Asset Management. In addition to his role as team leader, he will also assume responsibility for portfolio management.
Wimmersberger has around twenty years of experience in portfolio management for Swiss equities. Most recently, he was team leader for the entire Swiss Equities division at Credit Suisse Asset Management. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at Vontobel Asset Management. There, he served as deputy team leader from 2008 onward and was responsible for Swiss small caps, mid & small caps and dividend strategies in his capacity as portfolio manager. Wimmersberger has been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) since 2008.

Wimmersberger takes over from Peter Stenz, who will leave the company at the end of July and take early retirement.
